We are all God's Creation

When you drive by a church, do you ever wonder what the church believes and teaches? Have you ever wanted to visit but were afraid you would stand out like a sore thumb? Be accepted? Be welcomed?

Just in case you have ever driven by First Wesleyan Church in Fredericton NB on 131 Duncan Lane and wondered what they believe and teach, here it is:

We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. One God,three persons. We lift up the Name of Jesus Christ to a world in dire need of hope, because Jesus is our only hope for salvation.

We are all infected with sin and without the blood of Jesus to cleanse us, we are doomed to hell. But Jesus has died for us and rose from the grave. Therefore, by the grace of God, we are forgiven of our sins.

With faith in Christ, we are given eternal life in Heaven, our true home. In other words, we are saved by grace through faith for Jesus' sake.

We know this because God says so in his faithful, reliable, inerrant Word, the Bible. We study the Bible and desire to form our lives around it. We do not change God's Word to fit our situation.

Because we are saved, we respond by putting faith in action. Therefore, we participate in challenging mission ventures locally and abroad.

We welcome all races, all backgrounds, all neighborhoods. We love because Christ first loved us. We laugh much, but never at someone's expense. There is much to celebrate and be joyful about.

Our worship services range from traditional to contemporary worship. We are not embarrassed or ashamed to worship God in Spirit and in truth.
